Picnic on the Beach

As I’ve been feeling a little uninspired lately on the blog, I thought I would use the old good method of brainstorming to overcome the moments of brain-freeze. I asked myself "Where would you really like to be right now?" The answer came very quickly, almost without even thinking:  At a picnic on the beach.  Think of a dreamy afternoon with nothing on the agenda, enjoying mini bruschettas topped with olive oil,  plum tomatoes and fresh basil or oregano, Greek meat balls with mustard on a baguette, fresh sparkling  lemonade, chilled Greek wine  or cold beer out of colourful plastic glasses and a juicy fruit salad while sitting on a picnic blanket and listening to the sound of the waves. I am wearing a fun floral print dress and leather sandals with a great, big hat and sunglasses. Oh so chic!

With summer just around the corner, I’ve put together a collection of picnic accessories that will elevate your next outing, whether it is your neighbourhood park, backyard or a beach. 

Κυνηγώντας την έμπνευση, σκέφτηκα να χρησιμοποιήσω την παλιά, καλή μέθοδο της καταιγίδας ιδεών ή αλλιώς brainstorming. Ρώτησα λοιπόν τον εαυτό μου: "Πού θα ήθελες πραγματικά να βρίσκεσαι τώρα;" Η απάντηση δόθηκε γρήγορα και αβίαστα: σε πικνίκ σε μία παραλία. Ελάτε να στήσουμε το σκηνικό. Ένα ονειρικό απόγευμα χωρίς καμία υποχρέωση, απολαμβάνω μικρές μπρουσκέτες με ελαιόλαδο, ζουμερές ντομάτες και φρέσκο βασιλικό ή ρίγανη, κεφτεδάκια με μουστάρδα σε γαλλική μπαγκέτα, σπιτική λεμονάδα, δροσερό κρασί ή κρύα μπύρα σε πλαστικά, ζωηρόχρωμα ποτήρια και λαχταριστή φρουτοσαλάτα σε μία κουβέρτα του πικνίκ με συνοδεία το πάφλασμα των κυμάτων. Φοράω ένα παιχνιδιάρικο, λουλουδάτο φόρεμα και δερμάτινα σανδάλια με ένα μεγάλο ψάθινο καπέλο και γυαλιά ηλίου. So chic!

Καθώς  λοιπόν το καλοκαίρι πλησιάζει, έχω ετοιμάσει μία συλλογή αξεσουάρ για πικνίκ, τα οποία θα απογειώσουν την επόμενή σας εξόρμηση, είτε πρόκειται για το πάρκο της γειτονιάς, την αυλή ή την παραλία. Φροντίστε το σκηνικό, δημιουργήστε ατμόσφαιρα και απολαύστε στο μάξιμουμ τις μικρές χαρές της ζωής!
